BSM are appointed as Planning Consultants to the redevelopment project for the Old Library and Book of Kells Exhibition at Trinity College.
The project sought the upgrading of the existing protected structures to allow for modern environmental systems and the reorganisation of the visitor experience to include new entrance, retail facilities and exhibition space. The project involved extensive engagement with Dublin City Council Planning & Conservation Departments to work through the various interventions and strategies for the works required to these significant Protected Structures.
Planning permission was received in 2020 without an RFI request or appeal. Subsequent planning permission was achieved for temporary exhibition space to allow the continued Book of Kells Experience during construction works operate in a Temporary Space located in New Square.
