Garraun will be a transit-focused neighbourhood overlooking Oranmore Bay and developed around an existing single track railway station in the middle of the lands. The single-track station will be upgraded to twin track to facilitate trains at double their current frequency.
Primary vehicular access will be from the N67 via a new junction with excellent pedestrian and cycle permeability through the urban core and various residential and amenity character areas connecting to the Coast Road.
