Lough Boora Parklands

Landscape, Biodiversity

Lough Boora is characterised by over 50km of looped walks suitable for all ages and abilities. The setting is one of a regenerating raised bog with a wealth of seasonal flora and fauna together with wetland areas and lakes.

A new visitor centre and carpark, constructed using sustainable materials and technologies, establishes an arrival point cleverly integrated into the landscape environment such that the landscape is prominent and the built elements are substantially screened yet readily accessible.
