Loughmacask Masterplan
Planning, Urban Design, Environment, Biodiversity
Loughmacask is a substantially undeveloped quarter of Kilkenny City. The Masterplan considers the important site characteristics of built and natural heritage, topography, biodiversity and cultural heritage.
The vision is for a walkable and connected neighbourhood within walking distance of the city centre. The Masterplan provides a range of densities from the neighbourhood centre leading outwards. Through traffic is excluded or limited so as to ensure a vibrant and safe walkable neighbourhood with an extensive network of pedestrian, cycle and green links throughout.
